Evie May Murphy was born 15/05/13 and was diagnosed with a complex heart defect (interupted aortic arch) and a large VSD (hole in the heart).
At 10 days old weighing a tiny 4lb 1oz, Evie underwent her first open heart surgery. Evie had a huge fight ahead of her and we as a family never imagined the struggles which lay ahead for our perfect little princess. Evie underwent 35 surgeries which included further open heart surgeries and a left pneumonectomy (removal of the left lung). Evie was fitted with a tracheostomy which allowed her to be mobile whist attached to a ventilator and at 14 months old was eventually discharged home.
No matter what life threw at this little girl was she always had a beautiful smile on her face.
Unfortunately on 28/07/16 at 3 years old Evie lost her battle and gained her angel wings, leaving our family and everyone who knew her absolutely heartbroken. As parents you never expect to bury your child and be saving for their headstone. Unfortunately due to the circumstances we are having to swallow our pride admitting we do not have the money to pay for our babys headstone.
We are arranging a charity night with clairvoyant Sean Roper in January, however we have already been contacted by people asking how they can donate so this is why we have set up this page. I would like to thank everyone for the support we've received so far.
