In 2012, Eva Tomney then almost 4 years old and your average boisterous tom-boy, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour. She underwent rigorous rounds of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy; and today, by the grace of God, Eva is completely healed of cancer.
In the summer of 2013 however, Eva's body stopped functioning at an age appropriate level. Her physical ability and general wellbeing were dealt a number of blows as a result of the toxicity of the treatment she underwent. Eva has had to learn to do everything for herself again, from toilet training to lifting a spoon, holding her head upright to closing her fingers and releasing them again - simple everyday activities we don't even think about!
Our end goal is that Eva will do all things with strength, that she will sit unaided, stand unaided, walk with friends, run and play like all other children her age. As a result of our desire to see Eva return to where she needs to be physically; we have researched all kinds of beneficial equipment and, thankfully secured almost all of it to date. Unfortunately however, in our endless pursuit to source equipment we have met a hurdle too great for us to jump alone, and so we are asking for your help.
We would like to purchase a Gigermd Locomotive machine, this can be best described in lay mans terms as an "upside down hand and foot bike". The Locomotive is used to build up core muscles, arms and leg strength so that we can get Eva to a place where her body is ready to take those first tentative steps on the road to unaided walking. The basic model of this machine costs thousands without the shipping cost.
In order to help Eva's immune system to battle of potential infection and assist in the prolonged detoxification, a Reasonant Light Machine comes highly recommended, and again is a machine which costs thousands of pounds!
We understand that every family has difficulties in making ends meet, so all we ask is, if you can donate even a little please know how valuable it ALL is, after all, even the ocean is made from tiny drops.... If you cannot, we understand, keep us in your prayers as we pursue only the very best things in life for Eva.
