Match For Ryan Transplant Fund

Funds raised through this page will benefit Lexington, Kentucky resident, Ryan Buffington, who received a kidney/pancreas transplant on October 11, 2014. Donations will support medical costs associated with surgery, hospitalization at The University of Cincinnati Hospital, and post-transplant medications.
Ryan is just 37, and lives in Lexington with his wife, Bridgit, and their two children, Rydan (age 10) and Lily (age 4). Ryan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in his early twenties, and in the past two years has suffered from numerous health complications. He has had surgery on both eyes, struggles with high blood pressure, anemia, and spent six nights in the ICU. He was placed on the kidney/pancreas waiting list in May 2014. Receiving these new organs has given him a life free of Diabetes and will allow him to live the way he should be.
