Hello Everyone! This page has been created to help support sweet Annie the Great Dane, our newest foster dog. Annie came to us from Companion Animal Alliance, a wonderful rescue in Baton Rouge. Unfortunately Annie's previous owners were EXTREMELY neglectful and left poor Annie to starve without food or water for a very long time. If Animal Control is able to locate the owners, they will be facing Animal Cruelty charges and even possibly prision.
Its clear that although her body may be failing her, her spirit is not broken. I can't believe how sweet and loving this dog is, especially given her situation. Annie is in need of some special vet care due to her malnutrition and a few other issues including a shrunken eyeball, some sores on her legs, and the lack of a toenail. She also has heartworms which is a treatable condition, but a costly one. Please help us to save sweet Annie and lets make her the Great Dane I know she was meant to be.
