When you hear the name Donna Versola do the words mentor, friend, encourager, strong and giver come to mind? Most of you have heard that she has a few new words that describe her, Colon Cancer. She was diagnosed on Friday, September 12, 2014; a day that our family will never forget. We all know how strong she is and that she is a fighter. She will undergo treatments of chemotherapy every two weeks for the next six months. As of right now, the colon cancer has spread to her liver and lymph nodes. We are currently in the process of finding a specialist to look at her case. We believe that we will find the right doctor, the right facility and the right program, even if that means traveling out of town or out of state. Right now, getting her the best care that we can is our priority.

On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, she was admitted to the hospital to begin her first round of chemotherapy treatments. The first 48 hours they pumped the chemo into her body. She was so strong through the process. All the love, prayers and support from family and friends from is helping her during this difficult time. The side effects of the chemotherapy vary from person to person, so we will take one day at a time. We know she is healthy and takes care of herself, so she will be able to fight this. We are asking for you to stand in agreement and pray with us. She truly feels that God is going to use this time for His plan and purpose. We believe that after six months of chemotherapy SHE WILL be 100% cancer free and will testify that Jesus heals the same as he did 2000 years ago. Standing together as a family, we will fight this battle and see victory.

She has touched so many lives and many of you are asking how you can help or if there is anything you can do. To help, you can donate here on GoFundMe. Our goal is to create a financial cushion so she does not have to worry about anything other than getting healthy. Now, when hear the name Donna Versola, you will think of a victorious, fierce and powerful woman who overcame her battle with cancer.
