Hello, My name is Sarah, and I am doing this in hopes of keeping a roof over my family's head.
We have lived with my parents (paying our own rent and bills) for a few years to help them throughout their daily life, as they both have multiple health issues. Everything was going fine.
I got pregnant with our second child near the end of last year, everyone was thrilled! A few weeks after we found out I was pregnant my dad had his first major hospital stay due to COPD complications. Then in March my dad had a massive heart attack, and came home to us on hospice care. We were all able to keep up with his care for months, and he has survived longer than anyone thought he would, even getting to meet his granddaughter that was born on the fourth of July. More recently, my dad's health and personality changes made it that he was potentially endangering the entire household. A few weeks ago we had to make the hard decision to put him in a nursing home and continue the hospice care there, and he has thankfully been much more stable.
As many people know, these facilities are not cheap. We knew my mother would not be able to keep the house forever even with our help, but the plan was to file bankruptcy and we would have at least a year left here. During that time my husband and I would save up money and use our tax return to be able to smoothly move our family. A few days ago we found out that due to extenuating circumstances, the bank will be forcing all of us out of the house in two months.
We currently do not have any savings left. We had a few family emergencies, car troubles, and even my car will be reposessed some time within the next month. We have nothing extra, even with my husband working as hard and as much as he can while I take care of the kids and help my mom prepare to have a life in a new place without my father. I have helped my mom sell everything she could to help her be ready for her move, and thankfully she should be stable. Unfortunately we have nothing to help us come up with such a large amount of money in such a short time.
Our entire family has been going through a lot in a short amount of time lately. Our entire world is changing, and I have been strong for a long time, finding solutions to our problems. This time, I am totally lost and unsure of what to do. I have been helping others as much as I can for years, and it has come to the point that for the sake of my children, I feel the need to ask for someone to help us now. Any money received will go to the moving truck, boxes, security deposit, first month's rent, and any other moving costs that may come up along the way. We need to try to have the funds at the very latest by the end of October. Thank you for taking the time to hear my story.
