Help Steel Beamers go to the B Cup

The Steel Beamers, Steel City Roller Derby's junior varsity/B-team, have been invited to participate in Bleeding Heartland Roller Derby's annual B-Cup Tournament! This tournament, located in Bloomington, IN, is a weekend of games specifically for B-level teams. 8 teams compete in a bracketed competition over the course of Saturday and Sunday. This is the first time the Beamers have had the opportunity to play in a tournament, and the team is greatly looking forward to the experience. There are lots of tournaments every year for charter teams, but those opportunities are very few and far between for B teams. We may not have this opportunity again soon!

The Beamers need YOUR help! Derby is a pay-to-play sport; each athlete is responsible for the bulk of their own travel costs. Skaters drive their own cars, pay for gas, road tolls, and food. Lodging can be a hefty expense as well when you are traveling with over 20 people.

Steel City Roller Derby is a skater owned and operated organization. We are Pittsburgh's only all-female roller derby league and are a 501c3 non-profit organization. By donating to our fundraiser, you are helping to offset the out of pocket costs to our skaters so that they can focus on playing the game and representing Pittsbugh at derby bouts across the country, and you get some sweet swag as our thanks!
