ABMVB Individual Fundraising

My name is Christian Gongob and I am currently a junior student-athlete on the Alderson Broaddus University Men's Volleyball Team. For the past two years we have been established as a club team. During the summer of 2014, the University has decided to make the transition to a full NCAA varsity status. This is a start of something new and this is a great opportunity not only for the volleyball athletes, but to the University as a whole. This is an awesome opportunity to promote men's volleyball in the state of West Virginia as ABU is one of two collegiate institutions that currently have a men's volleyball program. With the transition, we have a great potential to be a competitive powerhouse on the east coast and make a name for the collegiate NCAA Men's Volleyball. Our team is on a campaign to raise funds that will allow us to compete against many different top institutions nationwide. These costs become very expensive as we travel across the country. Transitioning to a full NCAA varsity team will require us to play top elite teams such as Penn State, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Ohio State, UCLA, Pepperdine, etc. As you can see, these institutions are located from the east coast all the way to the west coast.
