"The cords of all link back, strandentwining cable of all flesh. That is why mystic monks. Will you be as gods? Gaze in your omphalos. Hello! Kinch here. Put me on to Edenville. Aleph, alpha: nought, nought, one."
-James Joyce, ULYSSES

Omphalos & Aleph ([om-fuh-luh s] and [ah-lef]) is an independent family-operated bindery project based in both Dublin, Ireland and Chicago, Illinois. Just as Joyce explored the connection between the past and the present in his famous novel, Ulysses, O&A aims to handcraft 100% Irish paper goods by using age-old processes from the past to celebrate memories in the present.

Offering coptic-bound leather and cloth notebooks for writers, artists, scientists, chefs and all the many other fairy-believers and book-fort-builders, O&A hopes to provide quality craftsmanship that captures both creative adventures past and inspire those to come.

However, their own adventure needs YOUR help! In order to continue to expand their line of high-end paper goods, the three sibling creators need help funding the tools, materials, and skill-building necessary to keep their project going.

That's where you come in! Please donate today so that Omphalos & Aleph can continue to grow their transatlantic project and deliver quality Irish paper goods worldwide.
