URGENT NEEDED FOR SENIOR PUPPY MILL SURVIVORS
Forgotten Friends-Mixed Breed Rescue in Austin, Texas has just rescued a female 8+ year old, 6.5 pound Pomeranian. She was abandoned at a kill shelter after her breeder was finished practically destroying her life.
The poor darling is suffering from a broken spirit, a mouth full of rotten, puss and slime coated teeth -- some loose and close to falling out. Many are just no longer there due to poor food, neglect, and no dental care. She also has a "mass" in two of her mammary glands that will need to be removed when her dental work and spay are done. They will be sent off for histopath to find if they are benign or malignant.
When we took on this little angel, we really had no idea of the expenses we would incur -- we just wanted to nurture her soul. We can do nothing for her now except to put her on antibiotics until we can raise an approximate $950.00. Please donate any amount you can spare and share Rosebud's plight so we can get her feeling better sooner than later.
We also rescued Finn from the same situation as Rosebud. Finn is a Yorkie who is around 5 years old and 6.5 pounds. He is a surprisingly happy dog for being from a puppy mill. He is cute and funny and playful. We have no idea how he seems to have come out with his mind in tact.
The down side of his past life is that he was kept in filth -- his coat was so matted and dirty he had to be shaved to the skin. His teeth are in bad shape and many will need to be removed as they are in too bad shape to save. He could be in as bad shape as Rosebud, but thank goodness he is not.
