I am so excited to have the opportunity to compete for Miss Washington for the 2014-2015 year!!
This is unlike any pageant I have seen before.
This organization values good morals, hard work, and will help shape me into the best person that I can be.
I have been handed an incredible opportunity that I feel I am supposed to take advantage of. To me, this pageant is about representing the woman of Washington State. I want to be a role model. I want to give a voice to the woman who have not been given this true blessing.
The leaders of the pageant don't stress for you to go above and beyond on your dress, makeup and hair. Actually, they highly recommend that you don't spend a lot of money, as owning nicer accessories won't bring you closer to winning.Yes, beauty is still part of the pageant, but beauty is not only skin deep. I am not perfect. I do not have a perfectly toned body, but it is a body that I am proud of. The thought of walking in front of a crowd in a swim suit seems a bit nerve-racking, but I am excited to showcase my confidence regardless of the imperfections that I may have. This is my chance to additionally, represent those girls who feel the same way.
The judges are successful individuals who have no knowledge of what a pageant entails. Knowing that real people are scoring me based on my character and how I represent myself, makes me feel like I can truly succeed in this competition!
In order to get to the next level, I need to acquire at least 2,500 dollars. As a financially struggling student, this will help give me the funds allowing me to travel across the state for practices, and pay for additional things I can't afford by myself.
I am grateful for any donation you are able to give!! With your contribution, you are giving me the support I need to move forward in order to represent the state of Washington.
