My name is Michael Balbuena and I am putting this page together to help support my mother in her fight against breast cancer.
Unfortunately, Health Insurance does not and will not cover all costs associated with this illness. My goal is to tap into my network of friends and family to help us with this financial burden. So anything you can donate to help us in making sure we get her top-notch medical care will be much appreciated. Every dollar counts!
According to an article in the Huffington Post:
'It's been shown that early detection and treatment can increase five-year survival rates to as high as 98 percent.
66 percent more likely to die in general, if they delayed treatment and the major factor in delaying treatment is barriers to access, particularly among people who can't afford the treatment.'
