Meeting God in Baseball: Dominican Republic Ministry

Thank you so much for visting my donation page.
God has given me the unbelievable opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic to share the gospel through the international language of baseball. Meeting God in Baseball (MGB) is a grass roots ministry that is capturing the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Latin America for Christ through baseball.
Sports provide a powerful platform. Latin American countries love baseball. In the Dominican Republic there is a large network of coaches and players that are connected and communicating in their communities and throughout the country through baseball. This existing network of coaches and players presents great opportunity to spread the gospel and establish local churches.
All over the Island you see boys and young men playing baseball with the hopes of making it to the Major Leagues. Many of them quit school to play baseball signing a contract at the age of 16 with a Major League team in the Dominican hoping to make it to the United States when they are 18 to play in the minor leagues.
MGB is ministering to these youth for eternity purposes, sharing the Gospel with them, discipling them, and encouraging them to stay in school. There are currently over 400 Dominican Coaches involved in the MGB Vision with over 15,000 players in their baseball programs.
MGB is providing training for Pastors, Church Leaders and local churches. There is current a void for properly trained church leaders and the need is great. We are currently working with church leaders throughout the Dominican Republic and Cuba to help them develop the leadership resources required to build a strategic network of Churches with trained Pastors/Leaders who are establishing and expanding an effective Body of Christ throughout Latin American.
Each American that travels as a part of the yearly trip is asked to fundraise a certain amount. The money that is being donated is going straight to MGB to help cover the living costs of the Dominicans. If you feel led to help me fundraise for my trip this year, I ask that you donate however much you feel called to do!
