Vet Care for Seizures

We are raising money for Huey, he is a shelter dog who we rescued. Shortly after my husband rescued him he was in the floor shaking and convulsing we were unaware of him having any issues but that didn't stop us from loving him. While in the floor shaking all over he used the bathroom on himself it was unknown what was going on we just knew what ever it was lasted 10 minutes long. When he was done he stood up woobly legged and walked right into the wall. We freaked out ant took him to our then vet as soon as we could. The vet said that he was experiencing seizures and there was nothing we could do but give him medicine. The then vet wouldn’t do any testing on him because it would be to costly. We tried the medicine on him for months the seizures kept getting worse not only were they more frequent but they lasted longer. One night he had 10 seizures lasting over 3 hours. The vet said there was nothing I could do but sit, watch and talk to him. He wakes up so very disoriented and confused. We are planning on taking him to a different vet and having him tested to see what is the cause of it and get the right kind of medicine for him so he can finally live his forever home at peace. His anxiety is always at a all time high hes scared of anyone and anything. 

After explaining the meds weren't working the vet said to take him off the meds. We are to just watch him since they were getting worse so here we are watching him. He has these awful things but not knowing his story we feel so helpless and feel we can't help him. Any help we could get funding this long journey would be greatly appreciated.
