Bangkok, Thailand Mission!

Hello my lovely friends and family! I'm so incredibly excited to share with you all that: I'm going to Thailand this November!!! What a beautiful journey this process has been! Thankfulness overflows!

Thai culture is rich, beautiful, and the harvest is plentiful! I have the wonderful opportunity to go on a mission trip to Bangkok, Thailand to love on the "ladyboys" and prostitutes of the area with a team led by John Crowder and Dave Vaughan. Ladyboys, also commonly known as transvestites, have a very large presence in the country of Thailand. Thai culture is often referred to as being a "gender-bending" culture, with ladyboys being known as one of largest genders throughout the country. The heart of this trip is not to try to 'fix' or change people or lifestyles, but really love the people we encounter with the love of Jesus that meets them wherever they are in life, and trust in the hope of the Holy Spirit! I'm so expectant for the Father to lift the veil of culture, religion, and confusion from their eyes so they can truly know Him, experience His love for them, and encounter the real goodness of the Gospel!

Throughout college, God has awakened my heart to the deep, deep love that moves Him for the broken, sexually confused, and those whose true identity and worth has been hidden from them. Early on during my freshman year, I remember God so clearly telling me to devote my studies to uncovering this beautiful reality and His promise to meet me along the way. His faithfulness always proves true! Since then, I have encountered His heart for His people time and time again, and have had my own transformed because of it.

I can't express how excited I am to take part in this trip! I'm confident in the transforming reality of the Father's love and that it will become tangible and real to those who encounter it. I'm so expectant for the good plans God has for our time in Thailand! 

I plan on flying out November 15th and arriving in Thailand the following day! I'm so thankful for the ways so many of you have loved me and already invested in my life! Your love and your prayers truly make the difference!
