Please read below a little info regarding the fabulous charity I'm skydiving for:
Last Friday 12th September 22 of us attended an event called London in the sky for Anita's Angels where we were basically strapped into a car seat and hoisted 150ft in the air to have breakfast served up by one of Londons top chefs! This was an absolutely awesome experience and a must for all if you can make it.
Anita's Angels started in February 2014 with our first fundraising event in March 2014 - when Anita organised a Silent Disco at the Shard with 20 people joining in on such a great night and everyone donated money towards the purchase of Easter Eggs. The event was so popular that she organised another Silent Disco night in April. We also had 150 eggs donated by Thorntons which was lovely of them to do so.
Anita's Angels 1st event was back in April 2014 when we had 60 volunteers come along to a local church where we had the Egg Factor taking place for kids and had Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow & Simon Cowell as judges with the fabulous Jose Mourinho as the judge of the Egg Factor. We then went out and delivered 1,250 Easter Eggs to 3 x Special Needs schools, local needy children who had been nominated by various sources and the elderly in nursing homes. It was a wonderful experience to be able to deliver the eggs to all of the above and was a truly humbling experience for all the volunteers that took part in the day.
All monies received from both skydives will be spread out amongst the next 3 events as below.
Anta's Angels next event will be in December where we will be going out on the streets of London (or you own local town) with goodies to give to the homeless at this cold time of year to show them that we care. Date to be confirmed.
14th February 2015 (during the day) - I am well aware it's Valentines Day. We will be doing another event and delivering to the Elderly - more info nearer the date
April 2015 - Easter egg day - date to be confirmed.
