Help a homeless veteran & dog

This is Andrew Barnhardt and his wonderful dog, Mama Tigre. Andrew is many things: he is my friend, he is a loyal guardian to Tigre, and he is also a homeless veteran, having served in the United States Army as a combat engineer. 

Recently, I came to know Andrew as our dogs often played together. Previously, I successfully raised funds to get Tigre spayed and vaccinated. The outpouring from the community was so moving that Andrew became inspired to start his life anew. He has enrolled and began classes to obtain a degree as Veterinary Technician at Pennfoster College. The funds raised here will help pay for tuition, maintain his independence (housing/transportation) and engage in homelessness outreach and advocacy in the metro D.C. area.
