Fix my Dad's Car

So a long time ago, my sister and her boyfriend drove my dad's truck everywhere, regardless of whether he let them or not, and they drove it everywhere and tore it all up. They only stopped driving it because he bought my sister a car and put his name on it because she said she could pay for it.

Well, she quit going to her job and he was stuck paying for it and her and her three kids who all live with him because my sister refuses to get child support on the kids' daddy because she's so in love with him and doesn't want him to make him upset by forcing him to give her money for their kids. She'd rather continue to take advantage of our 63 year old dad, who's too much of a pushover to tell her no on anything.

So he's been stuck driving this car they've ruined to and from work because he only has enough money after paying the bills every month to buy food and baby essentials. I'd really like to get enough money to get it fixed for him.

The AC doesn't work. This is one of the main problems with it. We live in the deep south of Georgia, where it's been in the 90's and 100's this summer. I'm always afraid he's going to pass out driving home in the afternoon. He's passed out driving his lawn mower in the evening a couple of times when it's too hot. 

There's also something wrong with the alternator, that makes the truck just flat out switch off sometimes. It's also got a problem of running hot. The cooling system in it has a leak in it and every morning before work he has to get up and stick the water hose in it for a few minutes.



The right front door will only open a few inches so no one can use the passenger seat. No amount of prying will budge it.




The middle and right mirror are both shattered.

The mirror and door being messed up are a result of my sister's boyfriend ramming the car into a pole one evening. Initially he said it was because a deer ran into it while he was driving but we quickly learned from his dad that he'd hit the pole in front of their house driving it out of their driveway.



The back-left door won't open from the inside because the door handle's been broken of.

The seat won't move forward or back anymore so it's stuck in a very uncomfortable spot for my dad, who is a large man.



The middle console's lid is torn up. (Not nearly as important as everything else but still notable)

My dad hasn't gotten it fixed yet because he's one of those people who are fine with driving something as long as it will get him to and from work, but he's really not. I know he hates driving this ragged car anywhere, and the only thing it's good for is to drive to work. Not to go to the store in the evening or anywhere. And he works so hard to make enough money to take care of everyone who lives with him, I just feel it's really unfair for this to be the only way he has to go.
