Razzo Surrogacy Journey

Our story starts off like most. We met in 2001 while we were both working at Toy's "R" Us. Both of us where in relationships at the time and never thought about the other in the physical sense. As a matter of fact, George had tried to ask me out several times and I turned him down. I would have never pictured me with someone like him. After much persistance on George's end and from my mother, I went out on a date with George.
Long story short, We got engaged in 2007 and were married in 2008.
After our wedding we both decided that we both wanted children, but with us both in school and trying to  figure out what we wanted for our lives, we decided to put it on hold for the moment. In 2012 we decided that we were ready for kids. After a couple of years of trying, we decided that we needed to seek professional help and guidance. We made our first appointment with the fertility clinic and eagerly awaited our day to meet with the doctor. We eventually found out that I had stage one uterine cancer. Our options were to try and saver fertility or have a hysterectomy. We decided that we would give ourselves a couple of years to get pregnant and then I would have the hysterctomy.

Six months after my diagnosis I became very ill. I was admitted to the hospital with a fever of 104 and my lung capacity slowly decreasing. I was eventually put into a medical coma and awoke 8 days later in the ICU with a tube in my nose and my mouth. The doctors couldn't find what the cause of this was. 15 days after being admitted to the hospital, I was discharged home and on my road to recovery. I was home and resting for the rest of 2015.

During one of my routine oncology visits, in January 2016, my test where showing that my cancer had gone away. We were given the green light to go ahead and try to  get pregnant again. One month later, I became very ill and was not feeling well again. It was recommended that I see my oncologist again. During this visit it was shown that my cancer was back and that the symptoms I was experiencing could be the spreading of the cancer. That night I came home and told George that I was ready to schedule my hysterectomy. In June 2016 my hysterectomy was performed.

Now George and I are on the path to surrogacy. My wonderful and lovely sister has agreed to offer her womb for our child. Now our dream of having a child of our own is that much closer.

We hope that with the help from our loved ones our dream can eventually become a reality. We thank you for all your love and support during our journey.

Love Always,
George and Tiffany Razzo
