If you’ve ever needed a Speech Pathologist, most likely you’ve benefitted from the work of Pam Marshalla and just didn’t know it.
Those of us working in the area of Oral Motor therapy whether for Speech or Feeding, have long known of Pam’s tremendous contributions to the field. Through decades of hard work serving her clients and fellow professionals, she has been a source of knowledge, information, and inspiration.
But now, Pam needs help. She has been diagnosed with leukemia — she has a very good chance of beating the cancer with chemotherapy, but it means that for the foreseeable future she will need to fight and will not be able to travel or teach. She has health insurance but her deductible is high and unmanageable for her personal finances.
On top of that, Pam and her daughter and son-in-law run a small home-based publishing business, Marshalla Speech & Language (http://www.pammarshalla.com/), which sustains itself in large portion due to the income from Pam’s workshops. So this is a financial hardship for the whole family.
