Eagle Project T312 - Mount Olive NJ

In and around Mount Olive, there are various blazed walking trails that allow local area residents the ability to enjoy nature by hiking. These trails include the White Trail, Orange Trail, Silver Springs Trail, etc. To improve the experience and the safety walking the trails, the MO Open Air Committee representative (Mr. David Alexander) has asked that puncheons (small walking bridge) be installed in various areas so that hikers can cross some marshy spots.
What is my part of the improvement? On the north end of the White Trail, directly off of Gold Mine Road, my helpers (my fellow scouts, helpers, family, and friends) and I will be installing about 60 + feet of puncheon (small walking bridge) over three or four different locations sometime in September. As you can imagine, this will require a lot of pressure treated lumber ... various pieces of 6"x6" (part of the base), 8"x8" (part of the base), and 2”x 12” planks. I will also need various hardware, like coated deck screws and nails. All of this of course costs money, or if possible the material can be donated.
With the recent heavy rain fall this summer, this has a few areas under water or so muddy that they are almost impassible. Below is a photo of the worst spot on the north side of the White Trail. This area is about 30 feet to cross.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can contribute to my Eagle project. Of course, if I raise funds, it will go to my troop and then I get reimbursed based on receipts. Any excess of raised on the project would be donated to the MO Open Air Committee future endeavors. Perhaps it can be earmarked for future eagle projects on the MO trails system (like park benches, rest areas, etc).
