Adna's NAM treatment

Adna is a beautiful little boy (who happens to be our first grandchild) born August 1, 2014 who needs to have surgeries to repair a cleft lip and palate. Before these surgeries can be performed he needs to have NAM. NAM is a technique in which the alveolus (gum ridges) and/or nose are molded with an appliance similar to an orthodontic retainer. This is usually done by a specially trained orthodontist prior to surgery, in order to make surgery simpler and make it so that there may be fewer surgeries in the future. The baby wears the appliance 24 hours a day for a period of weeks or months.
This is very expensive and not covered by insurance. I am trying to help raise the money so that they can have this done as soon as possible. From what I have researched they normally start NAM at 2 weeks of age, so since he is one month old, the sooner the better.
I got an email from Brian last evening and they are going to have a mold made for Adna today so they can get started...yay! The total estimated amount that they need will be $5800, which is a little more than thought originally, but I know we can reach that goal if we work together!
Although I did have my son Brian (Adna's father) attach this fundraiser to his FB account so it would be listed publicly, I do not currently use FaceBook, so if you could share this on your FaceBook pages, and tell your friends about it, I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much!
We are already part way there, so if 550 more of us could give $10 each, then Adna would have enough in no time! Thank you for your consideration and your help for this precious child that our family has been blessed with!
