Krystal "The Pistol" Pennington has always been a fighter, whether that is for her faith, her family, her friends, or any of life's adventures. Right now, our mom is in a huge fight, with breast cancer. She is always been the picture of resilience and faith amongst many of life's challenges, and she has always done it with a smile and an enthusiasm that is rivaled by none.
Our mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring, and has since gone after the cancer with all the vigor that she possesses. She has been through two surgeries to remove tissue and lymph nodes, and will begin physical therapy and radiation to return to her normal and energetic self.
Our mom is our hero, she has shown us what it looks like to have faith, courage, selflessness, hard work, joy, kindness, and determination. We love our mom, and want to see her not worry about things as she fights through this battle. With all the medical bills, the rising costs and inability to work have become quite a large burden. First, if you can pray for our mom we would be so thankful as we know God is in control of all of this, so bathing our mom in prayer is the most important thing! If you also feel like giving, I know my mom would be so grateful for anything. And any thing over what her medical bill costs will be, we will be donating the rest to the American Cancer Society to help the global fight against cancer!
Of course, our mom is already looking for ways that she can get involved in helping other women feel comforted and supported as they battle through cancer as well. Our mom has done soo much for our family, working three jobs at one point to help us as we went through school. We want to help her out now, even though she never asks for it!
