My wife has suffered with Epilepsy since she was fourteen. I have seen her go through some terrible seizures and I have had to stand by and hope for the best. WE have decided to have a fund raising event to raise money for a cure for this dreaded disease as well as help people understand that people that live with Epilepsy can do just as much as anyone else. The only difference is that they do have seizures that temporarily disdrupt their normal flow. Our event will be called "Shirley's Epilepsy Awareness Program presents Sing for a Cure. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Sahara Grotto located at 7620 Madison Avenue in Indianapolis between 12 noon and 5:00pm. We plan to have entertainers, raffles, door prizes, and a 50/50 drawing plus food. I have been planning this for three months and we have gotten no support at all except for entertainers. I am 72 and Shirley is 66. We are too old to do this all alone. Please help us so that we can make a difference.
