Valley Rescue dogs

Donation protected

Recently we were asked to assist with the rescue of 19 dogs from an owner surrender right here in Nova Scotia.  Of course, we were more than happy to help.

Yesterday, Marley's Hope took part in that rescue and we were not sure what we would find when we arrived, but we knew we would take every dog that was offered to us.  We worked with another local rescue and others in the rescue community and together we removed 19 dogs from one property.  It was a day that I can honestly say I am so proud I was able to be part of.  The dogs are awesome, but scared and timid- some are in poor health but together we offer them a promise of a new tomorrow.  Today is their first day of their new lives- we are getting reports from fosters that they are opening up and becoming dogs again!

However, the dogs that MHDR took are in need of medical care.  We need to vet all dogs of whom one is confirmed pregnant and two others we're pretty sure are as well.  All dogs need alterning and all need medical care. We will need puppy supplies and care for them as well.

Shylee pictured above needs to have her eye removed and of course, this is going to be an expense.

If you can donate please do- also, if you wish to make a donation directly to the care of our Vet - please contact Complete Care Hospital for pets and let them know.
