My school had a break-in during the summer, and some of my important teaching supplies have been stolen, including an USB flash drive that has all my 5-years of teaching materials. My school laptop got broken and no longer works. It has been a challenge to ask for a replacement through the district and administrators. In this project, I hope to ask for your support to get a working tablet-computer that can be use to plan lessons, access resources, and demonstrate lessons on a projector display for students in the classroom.
My students are brilliant thinkers, hard workers, inspirational young leaders. They do their best and always strive to be even better. They keep my feet going, my heart dancing, and my mind thinking. Approximately 90% of our students are from low-income households. Many of my students are on IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and most are ELLs (English Language Learners). They need the extra support, accommodations, and differentiate instructions to learn and unlock their endless potentials. It is vital that I provide them with a rich learning environment to engage their curious minds and inspire their creativity. Every student is talented and smart. They need the right tools to see, to create, and to grow.
