Today we received news we never thought we would ever get. My mommy instinct kept telling me something was wrong. I have shared with some of you that Aiden was found to have a Spasticity issue on February 3rd. For those who don't know that basically means that there was something blocking his brain to tell his muscles what to do. At that time the Doctor Pedle believed Aiden had or had had bleeding in his right brain or had a Stroke earlier in life.

Today (Feb 23) we came with him to find out what it was and what they would do next and being told it is usually a 72 hour wait to find out. At 10:45 we were checked into The Castle for him to get put to sleep and get his MRI done. Shortly after he woke up he was able to eat but once Dr Padel (wasn't suppose to see her till March 2nd ... imagine our surprise) he wasn't able to eat anymore because he may need to go to surgery and she then shared with us the most horrifying news a parent could hear. (And of course that is when my phone dies and why we started this event to keep everyone updated without draining the batteries with still being able to reach each and everyone of you)

Aiden has been diagnosed with a VERY large tumor in his right brain. The doctor said it is larger then most adult patients. At this point we do not know what will happen next. The tumor is located in the middle of the right brain which means they can not easily operate on it without complications. They mentioned that they would generally do radiation but again because of his age that will come with several developmental complications.

He was admitted to The Castle tonight to keep an eye on him and watch to see how he is doing. We have met with several doctors and teams and nurses within the first 2 hours of hearing the news. They strongly suggested that we wait to have a biopsy done on Monday to allow for their best neroligy pedatrics doctor to operate on him. So for now ...... we wait.... they are thinking we will go home for a few days and come back Monday but we are not sure yet at this point.
