I was recently born on January 1, 2017. What a way to start the New Year! Can you imagine how fun my 21st birthday is going to be? :)
While I'm sitting here drinking milk, I thought I'd pause to tell you about my dreams for the future. I've got big plans to attend college or vocational school down the road. To help sow my dream, I'd like to help my parents prepare for that stage of my life by calling on you for support. Let me tell you a little bit about them, and then I'll get back to me.
My dad works as a program manager at a food bank. He spends his time overseeing programs that feed thousands of vulnerable children and seniors in need. My mom dedicates her time and talents as a reading specialist at an elementary school. She works with kids at various reading levels develop the skills needed to become literacy-magicians!! I call them the Read and Feed Team. I'm already pretty clever, right?
While they're out working to better the lives of others, they're doing their very best to provide a world of opportunity for me. Everyday, they tell me that the world's my oyster. So I say to you, why not help me grow my pearl?
Here's my request to you... if you believe in the potential of my generation to help solve the world's most difficult problems, and have boundless hope for brighter days ahead, help me cultivate my future by pitching in a few bucks.
My parents will invest every dollar raised into a 529 college savings account. Your seed funding will one day grow into a mighty tree that will bear fruit for years to come.
So whatya say? With all the gratitude that a little tyke like me can give, thank you for investing in my future and fueling hope for a better world.
