May is a month we celebrate Mother's Day. We're taking that a step further to make it a month-long celebration of and for mothers. Dr. Young and his staff have decided to give back to our San Antonio community by creating a charity drive for the Battered Women And Children's Shelter (BWCS).
BWCS is celebrating their 40th anniversary helping women and children who have lived through violence. Battered women and their children often flee situations without the convenience of being able to bring items necessary for long-term survival. Clothing, personal care items, school supplies and more are desperately needed. DrYoungForever will be collecting items for donation to BWCS all month. We welcome donations of gently used or new adult, baby & child clothing, baby-child-adult personal care items, school items, diapers, toys and other items needed. Our donation box will be set up at Dr. Young's Stone Oak offices at 525 Oak Centre Dr., Suite 260 starting Monday, May 1 to 31st. Please bring donations Mon-Fri 9:00-5:30.
Dr. Young and his staff are also asking for financial donations which can be presented as a gift to San Antonio's Battered Women And Children's Shelter at the end of our fundraising campaign. Funds raised will help women and their children receive counseling services so vital to their well-being, along with other services BWCS provides to those in need including emergency shelter, food and clothing. We appreciate any size donation.
