Howard Area Robotics Team

Hey everyone!

We're starting a FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics community team for the Northside of Chicago. Howard Area has been gracious enough to provide us with the space, but we still need to raise the funds for registration, parts and tools. 

FIRST Robotics helps students to learn STEM skills, learn about careers in science, tech and engineering,  and makes students eligible for over $20 million in scholarships through FIRST.

Here's a breakdown of what we need to run this year:

Registration - $275
TETRIX Kit (one time cost!): $578.85 
Competition Registration: $300
FTC Field and Elements: $300
Extra Robot parts: $350
Tools: $200

All together, that makes $2003.85

Here's a few other things we'd LIKE this year:
T-shirts: $150
Snacks: $200
Travel Expenses: $300

Which brings our total fundraising goal to: $2653.

While we hope to get some of this money through grants or corporate sponsorships, any help we can get from our community would be greatly appreciated.
