Cans For Vans

Donation protected

Hello everyone!  This is my Godson, Jay.  He is a 14 year old Jr. High student in Bagota, TX.  He has Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus and is in a wheelchair full time.  He does a good job getting around but when it came to getting in and out of vehicles his momma had to dead lift him.  Jay came up with a plan.  His plan was to collect aluminum cans recycle them and save the $0.60 we got per pound to put towards a mobility van.  We created a Facebook page and got people to save their cans and donate them.  Some lived too far away so we created this page so they could recycle cans where they live and post it here.  Others didn't drink soda or other beverages so they just donated.  Because of all of you Jay now has his mobility van!!!!  At Jays request we are continuing this page and the Facebook site, which he renamed Cans For Vans, so other kids could benefit like he has.  If you or someone you know would like to help then collect your aluminum and let us know on Facebook.  If you live too far for one of us to travel or are too far away from a drop off point then you can cash them in and post the funds on here.  Please, pass the word.  The more kids we can help the better.  Thank you all.
