Hello everyone!
This is Danel & Cristian, two intrepid yet somewhat unlucky travellers who started their adventures in Australia, where we travelled 4,000 km for two months til destiny brought us sailing to New Caledonia and Vanuatu with a sailboat. In Vanuatu we had the immense misfortune of suffering the devastating effects of cyclone Pam, which unfortunately almost took our lives... Thankfully, we had the luck of our lives and could get out of the vessel and leave Vanuatu safely after a more than welcoming emergency evacuation carried out by the Australian armed forces, who brought us back to Australia with no money and a few personal belongings, but thankfully all in one piece.
After a brief period of reflection we decided to head towards Nepal, where this time we suffered the devastating effects of the April 25th (2015) earthquake that destroyed much of the country. This time we had to be evacuated by the Spanish Government, who brought us back home to Spain 2 weeks after the earthquake once again all in one piece.
Our misfortunes haven't stopped us from pursuing our next adventure and we are now embarked on an exciting expedition in Southeast Asia, were we intend to cycle from Malaysia to China. After going through two natural disasters in less than 6 months our personal and material belongings all got either destroyed, dissappeared under the sea or under the rubbles, or gifted to other people in need of more urgent help than ourselves.
In order to complete our cycling adventure we hope to raise up to 2000 EUR, which will help us fund bike repairs and spare parts (spokes, drive chains, tire tubes, fenders, panniers, etc.), and hopefully some food. Any help is greatly appreciate it and will definitely be a most needed injection of faith, energy and positive vibes to help us complete our expedition all in one piece and hopefully without suffering any further mishaps...
