Cancer? Dru's Got This!

Several years ago a young boy and his older brother came into my boxing gym in Shields, MI and started training to learn the Sweet Science. 
As his Coach I saw even at a young age that he was a natural fighter. After I closed that gym and moved home to Cadillac, since I had a mentoring relationship with him Dru started coming up for training and joined my new program, Cadillac Boxing Club's TEAM WILDCAT. Dru saw great success in the ring this past season culminating in a State Championship at the Junior Olympic Boxing Tournament that was held in Detroit MI over the first weekend of May.
Two months later Dru was facing an opponent outside of the ring, a fast developing cancer called medulloblastoma, a cancer that attacks the brain and spine. Dru was taken to the CS Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI where he underwent surgery to have a tumor removed from his brain. The surgery was the first round of his fight as now he has a short time to recover from the surgery before beginning radiation and chemotherapy treatment.
As this came on fast and he along with his family were in shock. During one conversation with his mom about the cancer he simply told her of this unwanted opponent "I've got this." Dru is a fighter and he will win this fight! This gofundme campaign is to raise funds to help the family with the many expenses involved from dealing with a life threatening disease.
As his Coach and Executive Director of a non-profit called Never Down For The Count Youth Services which operates Cadillac Boxing Club I am starting this campaign for those who wish to donate any amount to help his family. As all donations will come through the non-profit, they will be tax deductable. 100% of the donations received will go to his family.
