Flood ruined our new furnace

Donation protected

(At least a foot of water stayed far longer than the rest, causing severe water damage and mold)

As most of you in the area may know, there was a large flood that swept through the Detroit area on August 11th. Many people got a few inches of water up to a foot or so, our basement got at least two feet of pure sewage.
We lost some a decent amount of stuff, a couch, loveseat, tables, chairs, water heater works but won't for much longer we were told, same is true for the washer and dryer etc.

Yet we also lost the brand new furnace we had just bought a week before. I had sold off my car to help my Mom buy the brand new furnace, last winter was really rough and this one is supposed to be just as bad. We had flood insurance, but it didn't cover the type of flood we had because it came up through the drains instead of elsewhere.
We're STILL cleaning up, fighting off the mold and sanitizing. We don't qualify for any type of state or federal help, I dislocated my kneecap not long before the flood and just got that bill in the mail as well, I've been trying to help make ends meet (on the lookout for a second job) but it doesn't seem like the furnace will get fixed before winter. I'm at a loss of what to do.

I know many people were effected by this flood, but any little bit of help, prayers or kind words would be appreciated
