I decided to start food blogging one year ago to explore the various and unique cuisines that exist within the Caribbean.
I've been to New York, Paris, Jamaica and Toronto and I've learnt so many intriguing things about different islands' food and drink. I have also met and interviewed key figures within the Caribbean food community. This journey has inspired me to start my own drink brand that I will trade at my local market.
My concept is natural juices that are popular in the Caribbean. Sometimes when people hear or see the word natural they assume that the taste may not be great as it doesnt have added sugar or salts: things that we tend to crave and are addicted to. That's where I will be changing people's perceptions as the drinks will be natural, healthy and very tasty.
I feel that many young people do not get the opportunity to follow their dreams as they are either fearful or lack funding. My case is the latter.
As a new business there are many things that I will need to fund in order to make this a reality. Labels, bottles, ingredients, business licensing, travel for the first year, trademarking, gazebo, gazebo weights and other equipment.
I am looking to raise £1700 for me to start this venture. If you can donate any money no matter how small I will be extremely grateful for your contribution. Please share!
