Douglass High School Prom

Frederick A. Douglass High School, in Oklahoma City, has a long and colorful history as the foundation of the east side community. 
Our school is full of students, especially the senior class, who are dedicated to education, community serivce, and the Douglass High School legacy. Through hard working and dedicated staff and students, we have worked to build success on our own terms. 
However, as an inner-city public school we have very little funding for events, like prom, to give back to the students. Any events- academic or social- we must raise our own money and prom can get very expensive. Unlike many schools in the area our students cannot afford to pay high ticket prices as well as buy dresses, tuxs, and all the things to make their night special and everything they deserve. 
This year we have had many setbacks and are far behind in our fundraising goals, and right now with the money we have, prom would be impossible. Please help to make this night everything our students dream of! 
Our prom is scheduled for April 25th, 2015.
