New wheelchair for Donte

I Need to get back into a wheelchair, recently my power chair took a big hit and is now currently sitting disassembled (probably for good). It is my primary source of transportation and I use it daily to visit family in the community as well as help out the elderly in my neighborhood, it also allows me to go outside into the rough terrain outside my home when I am in need of some fresh air. With only my handheld wheelchair I have been lost my routine, my handheld left me with a ten my six open wound, and im had two surgery's since then and am in the hospital as we speak, life or death type infection if I'm not careful. Also need to get medicaid to buy a new handheld wheelchair because it is the reason ( I outgrew it and tire rubs across skin on thighs); but its only been two years and medicaid only buys one every 5 in most cases. And of course it was because of being stuck inside the house due to paralysis for over a month, you can change my life with a simple share or donation.


My name is Donte' (Don-tay) and I am a 24 year old living in southeast Ohio; Even t though I'm paralyzed I'm trying like crazy to just get stable because I'd like to have steady work again but can't get ahead as well eventually adopt/surrogate a son (or maybe daughter!) and live the american dream of a white picket family. After a car accident 2 years ago left me paralyzed I have been fighting to regain a balance in my day to day life. I went from working and never calling off sick AT
an amazing steady job as a landscape/hardscaper and operator and now i'll spend my whole paralyzed wheelchair bound life probably not being able to get back into the labor side which I'll genuinely mourn the lose of AND NOW I'm living on SSI and struggling to maintain my home and relationships. A few things above all I have learned from this experience is to be thankful for everyday you have, I consider myself extremely lucky to be alive today and while my physical stance has changed dramatically, my attitude has only gotten better. To just love and not judge others as people are just all people we are all from the same god no matter which one you believe in. My advice to any of you in the same situation is to always spread positivity no matter the circumstances. By inspiring only one individual you have still changed the world.
