Dexter's medical bills

Hello and thank you for stopping by and checking out our page. Dexter is my three year old chocolate lab. Dexter is the sweetest most loving dog I've ever been around and he is my best friend! We do everything together. Recently we went for a hike and he went into a heat stroke. Thanks to the fast acting rangers and friends we made it to the Vet and received IVs and antibiotics. When he woke up the next morning he seemed to be very sore and lethargic. We went back to the vet and she said his body was going into shock and advised me to get him to the ER immediately. We went directly to the Veterinarian's Specialty Hospital in Sorrento Valley. Dexter was admitted into the ER and began undergoing a battery of tests and receiving more fluids. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to cover the high cost of treatment on my own. After being declined for the Care Credit program and Wells Fargo Line of Creidt for emergencies I was fortunate to be able to borrow $4000 from a family member to put down as a downpayment on his treatment. I'm setting up this page to share Dexter's story and hopefully raise the remaining money needed to continue his treatment. They anticipate up to another $6000 in vet bills potentially any unused monies will be donated to San Diego Human Society. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
