Hello, my name is Raza Hussain.

A few months ago my family were dealt with a devastating blow. My elder sister, Annie, was suddenly diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. As you can imagine, this news was completely earth shattering especially as my big sister had just turned 30 and was enjoying the fruits of motherhood.

My sister has written a letter, which I now share with you. Please take a moment to read this.

Our family needs your help. Annie's cancer diagnosis has meant that she has had to seek treatment in Germany as Chemotherapy in the UK wasn’t suitable. She has started a course of immunotherapy in Germany, but for this to continue we need funds. As a family we are exhausting every possible way of raising funds personally, and we now turn to you for help. We ask that you donate what you can - every penny will help, and contribute towards her treatment in Germany. We are short of £100,000 for Annie's full treatment to continue and complete in Germany.

We are happy to provide evidence of this for anyone who inquires. All funds received will go towards treatment for Annie.

Please donate what you can to help save my big sister's life.

I now leave you with Annie's letter:

My name is Annie Hussain and I am 30 years old. I desperately want the chance to live, and I am hopeful that your generosity will make this happen.

Up until very recently I was living a happy go lucky life, enjoying being a mother to a toddler, living in Middlesbrough with my husband and daughter.

Sometimes, however, life has a way of serving a palpable reminder that it can be very cruel, brutally random and unfair. When I was suddenly diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, my first thought was to think ‘no child as young as my daughter should have to lose her mother.’

My daughter is 3 years old, and to day I write to you as a Mother, a Mummy, of my beautiful, wonderful, larger than life, little girl, Amelia. For me, she is the epitome of joy. A little girl for whom I cherish and want to battle for, so that I can protect her from the cruellest hand imaginable. For me, nothing else matters, nothing else compares, Amelia is my world, my life, my everything.

I need to live.

I need to battle this horrible disease that has been afflicted on me. I am not ready to leave my Amelia without a Mother.

My cancer has spread, but I am not prepared to give up. My body can’t cope with chemotherapy and the only real hope I have is to undergo immunotherapy. This is an alternative to chemotherapy that is gradually gaining ground in cancer treatment. In simple terms, immunotherapy stimulates your own immune system to work harder or smarter to attack cancer cells. There are cases where patients have gone into remission or been cured. It isn’t available on the NHS, but it is available at a clinic in Germany.

It’s not cheap and whilst we are working so hard as family to fund as much ourselves, I need your help.

I need your help to have the chance to live. Please donate what you can towards the costs of my treatment in Germany.

This is a debt I will never be able to repay but will buy me precious time with my Amelia, hopefully beyond my 30 years, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

I am hoping that I am able to win this battle for my Ameila.

Thank you for your time and your donation.
