I don't know who wrote that quote, but I can imagine that's exactly how our dear friends Katie, Brian and Asher McMeen are feeling.
Katie delivered Brynn Margaret McMeen on January 13, 2015. Unfortunately, Brynn died before she could meet her loving mother, father, and PROUD big brother, Asher. Brynn weighed 6 pounds, 15.5 ounces, and measured 19 inches long. She had curly, light brown hair and the same adorable chin as big brother.
Our friends are grieving and need our support as they decide how they want to memorialize Brynn. Your donation will help Katie and Brian pay for the unanticipated costs of any memorials, medical expenses, therapy, in-home support, and loss of wages.
In reading stories about stillbirth, I came across this quote from a family who received medical bills a few months after delivery:
"It was like receiving a punch in the gut...We earned the bill -- we just didn't have anything to show for it."
