For years, Kathleen Gage has been involved in animal rescue. She and Karen Noel have rescued dogs, cats, goats, ferrets, horses and just about anything that needed rescuing. Although they have all the animals they can handle, they continue to contribute financially to many nonprofits that cater to the needs of rescue critters.
On May 10, 2015, Kathleen is participating in the Eugene Marathon as her way of celebrating her 61st birthday. (Her actual birthday is a few days later, but what an awesome way to celebrate). Kathleen loves gifts. All kinds of gifts, but she doesn’t need gifts for herself. This year she’s asking friends, family and colleagues to make a donation to
Emerald Valley Equine Assistance A non-profit organization dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and placement of abused, neglected and unwanted equine. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place these animals in new approved homes.and
Villalobos Rescue Center Founded by Tia Maria Torres, Villalobos Rescue Center is a 501c3 registered charity focusing on rehabilitation and rescue of the American Pit Bull Terrier dog, with help from the parolees who work and care for the dogs. We work patiently to re-acclimatize fearful dogs to the loving care of a human, so that they may eventually be adopted.
