A Safe Place To Call Home

Hi :) My name is Kirsten, I'm 18 and from a small town in Ontario. Recently, my mom's been hospitalized due to an autoimmune disease, and because of her mentally abusive boyfriend, I no longer have a place to live. I've been moving between houses of whoever will take me in since May, but have now resorted to living in the back of my truck with a cap on it because I have nowhere else to go.

I have very bad anxiety and depression, the stress of not having a safe place or any view of what's going to happen in the future makes me wake up puking from anxiety every night. In order to function I need my dog, Benny, who I rescued three years ago. I'm stuck in a bit of a circle; Not having a place to live means Benny also lives in the truck with me, and it's not humane to leave him in the truck while I work, but I need the money to get an apartment. My cat Oliver won't have a place to stay for much longer either...

I've tried getting help from organizations and the government but so far I've had no luck. I'm looking for $3000 to cover first and last month's rent so I can move in, and maybe a bit to get some food for myself. Please help Benny and I find a home before winter. Welfare only goes so far and $200 a month isn't enough for food when I don't even have a place to cook cheap foods like rice.









Please help us be happy again :( This kind of living is miserable...
