DMJStudio Goes Gallery

DMJStudio is my virtual creative workshop (www.dmjstudio.com). For several years I have used fine arts, multi-media, social collaboration and public spaces, to create experiences that tell stories of people in cities, particular my hometown, Detroit.

I believe that art should be accessible to all. My projects come out of this belief. Here are a few links to those projects:

I self-financed these project by taking on extra jobs and with the volunteer help of good friends. Now, I have an opportunity to partner with the Baltimore Gallery Detroit  and I need your financial support. 

By partnering with The Baltimore Gallery Detroit, I will have the ability to expand these projects to more Detroit neighborhoods and have a larger support system to promote these projects while increasing participation. Your support to DMJStudio will also give me the ability to successfully expand this work to other cities.

How will these funds be used:
- Towards lease agreement
- Purchasing of art materials for projects 
- Hiring temp staff to develop and implement projects
- Paying artists for their skills and talents

Just think, every $150 we raise has the potential to:
- Provide art supplies to paint 10 doors/canvases 
- Create 2 make shift walls for pop up exhibits
- Pay for 10 hours of professional staff service 
- Provide maintenance to the gallery space
- Provide 4 hours of art classes for Detroiters  

We must reach our goal by Januaty 31, 2017 and we can do it with you.
