Village and Elephant Program

Hello Everyone! My name is Hailey Cooper. I am an 18 year old Zoology/Pre-Vet student at Colorado State University who is currently trying to raise money to be able to volunteer in Cambodia for three weeks! What my volunteer program consists of is first, to improve the facilities and life enhancing skills for disadvantaged rural children and orphans. This also includes providing opportunities for shelter and education for those in need. Secondly, I will travel to the mountainous jungle region of eastern Cambodia to work in an elephant sanctuary, which buys elephants from families who can no longer afford their upkeep and offers them a natural life in the lush jungle. I 
will be harvesting and replanting food supplies, improving
infrastructure and helping with general maintenance. I will also be bathing, feeding and hanging out with the elephants every single day! It would be an honor to be able to participate in a program such as this because this is my dream and what I wish to pursue in life. I understand that $5,000 is quite a lot to raise, but every single penny counts!
