Dancer Needs Knee Surgery

Donation protected
As many of you know dance is a huge passion of mine.  I want to dance professionally sometime in the near future, but cannot start working towards that again until I'm fixed!

The last week of March this year is when it all was put on hold, my knee started hurting after a dance class.  At first I didn't think it was a big deal and that I was just sore or strained something.  Everyone kept telling me to go see a doctor but I do not have insurance and was hoping it would get better on its own.  My reasons for not having insurance are 1. My boss does not offer it, 2. It's too expensive for me (even the Obama Care program).  After about 7 weeks nothing had changed so I went to a clinic, and they took xrays that showed my bones were okay and the "doctor" told me there's nothing wrong and to just be careful when I turn.  At this point I didn't have money to go to another doctor, so again I was just trying to wait it out and hope it got better.  It never did.

At the beginning of August I finally broke down and paid hundreds of dollars for am MRI that shows I have a torn meniscus that is rather large and surgery is my only option.  Since I do not have insurance my surgeon referred me to afoundation that is covering my surgical center and anesthesiologist fee.  What I need to pay for is the surgeon/assistant fee which is $3,950.  I will also need to pay for physical therapy after surgery.  I am going to be going out on disability and will only get a small portion of my regular income from disability.  I still have over $10,000 in school loans to pay off, plus just basic living expenses which is not cheap living in San Jose!  I will be out of work and only getting disability income for about 2 months.

Asking people for money is a really difficult thing for me, especially knowing everyone else is struggling.  I am asking for any and all help, donate any amount you can and I will be more than grateful.  My payback to everyone will be to never quit on my dream of dancing, that is all I am wanting to do and by the time I'm all healed I will be out of dance for 1 year.  Putting all of that on hold has been the most painful part of this.

Thank you for reading all of this and helping me out in a very difficult time, I LOVE YOU ALL!
