Help Shelly fix her truck!

Hey friends! This is for those of you who know, and love my awesome mom. As some of you know, my mom married a great guy about 3 years ago, named Scott Therien. It was the best day of her life, and she loves him with all of her heart. So just a few months after they married, Scott fell off of a roof and broke his skull. He has been in the hospital ever since, and my mom goes to visit him EVERY SINGLE DAY. He has very little motor skills so he can't move his body. He has made some progress since the fall, and after coming out of his initial coma can now shake his head yes, no, give a thumbs up, and stick out his tongue! My mom makes sure that she moves his arms and legs so that his muscles don't die, and keeps his spirits up the best she can. The hospital that he is staying in is a 6 mile walk from where she works. Her truck recently broke down, and now she walks to and from his hospital after working as a bartender/waittress. Some of the neighborhoods she walks through are not safe at all. I am worried for her physical safety. I don't have the small amount of money it would take to fix her stupid truck, and time is of the essence since I feel like any day now one of those freaking- face eating Florida maniacs will get to her. I know a lot of you have at one time or another, gotten help from my mom. She is the most generous, loving person in the world. She would do anything for anyone, and usually does. I can only help so much, but $400 is not that big of a goal. I sometimes think that if my mom had a penny for every good deed she has done, she would be RICH> too bad life doesn't work that way. Quite the opposite actually. So if you can remember how good my mom has been to all of us, I hope you will find it in you to help out. Every tiny contribution helps.
