Formal discharge: complete! Emma is finally...
Formal discharge: complete! Emma is finally home. She is now officially a day patient at Holland Bloorview and she hopes to start back as a part time student at Stonehaven ES (her home school) next Friday. We are thrilled with all of the support we have received - thank you!
Emma toughs it out through a new set back: another stress fracture to the spine due to thin bones (yet to be understood) causing a great deal of discomfort and worry.
And yet, through it all this wonderful, sparkly girl is determined to show everyone what true Will lies deep in the soul of a winner!! Keep it up Emma!!!

A wonderful weekend of family and ....FOOD!
With Emma getting stronger, she actually got to enjoy some home cooking this weekend (and her parents actually got to be home with family to feed - a double blessing!!) Thank you all for your continued support. Emma's efforts continue as she works towards a possible discharge sometime this spring. Keep working Emma - you're doing it!!

Emma continues to make great gains....
Emma continues to make great gains. This week, she re-taught herself to swallow!! Not an easy task but one that will help her immensely as she continues to progress. Intensive therapy continues at Bloorview during the week with home visits happening on weekends. A formal discharge date of April 20 is set: the charge is on!!! Emma you inspire us all...Keep it up!!!
