Ferguson, Missouri-area Youth Outreach Program

The Dellwood Dragons Drum & Bugle Corps is a positive alternative activity designed to combat juvenile delinquency, and provide life-skills for Teens ages 13-18. We serve Teens in the areas of Ferguson, Dellwood, Florissant, Jennings, Hazelwood, Berkeley, Kinloch, Pagedale, Pine Lawn, U-CIty, Normandy and all over North St. Louis County, and St. Louis City. The summer of 2019 will be our 4th marching season. Our practices are Saturdays, from 1-3 pm, at the Dellwood Recreation Center, located at 10266 W. Florissant Ave. Funds are needed in order for this program to continue. Teens are required to: Conduct a recruitment interview, Report to all functions on time and sign-in upon arrival, Be in the proper uniforms and abide by our dress code, Be engaged and productive during our activities, Learn Decision-Making and Drug Awareness, Demonstrate teamwork, Maintain a positive attitude, and Perform Community Service.  Our ultimate goal is to teach these fine qualities so that Teens will be able to demonstrate proper coping-skills in order to be able to thrive. The Dellwood Dragons have a drum line, brass horn line and color guard (flags). Your donations are also needed in order to purchase horns. Our program is 100% free for the Teens. Free equipment, uniforms, mentoring, refreshments, and members can swim for free in the Dellwood Aquatic Center (after regularly scheduled Saturday practices).
