PROJECT AX: Help Del to Anime Expo!

Once upon a time, there was a lone child in a sea of adventure and change... 

This child wandered from the frozen tundra to the warm plains and lush forests in search of the greatest of all adventures, meeting many fascinating individuals along the way. Over time, the child befriended many, and began to aventure together. 

Now, one wonderful group of heroes, the RedFeathers (http://featherbent.com/), and a tag along gaggle of ruffians from around the countryside are all planning on tackling their most difficult challenge yet: Anime Expo 2014, located in Los Angeles, USA. 

The lone child was eager to go, as they had never before seen the sparkling sea to the west, however their tundra homeland of Ottawa, Canada was quite far from the seaside locale of AX. 

The child pondered and pondered: "Is this even feasible? Could a small child such as I even survive such a quest?" 

As their work was infrequent, and the queen's orders prevented them from taking on more work than what they already had, the child thought and thought and thought on how to get further...

Then, they said-- 

"Why don't I ask some of my fellow travellers for help?"  

And so, they are. 

If any of you fellow travellers have even a few dollars to spare, this trip would become a reality much sooner! It would mean the world to me. 

Being in university full time with the schedule I have makes it essentially impossible to get a job, and with my drawing tablet broken still I cannot even open up proper art commissions. Begging and loans are sadly my last resort: but I want this to happen so badly I am willing to take a blow to my dignity! I don't expect to reach my goal-- but even just getting a handful of dollars would make my whole year! 

If each of my facebook friends alone gave three dollars, I would be all the way there!

$60 USD -- Anime Expo Ticket. - COMPLETE!

Donations of $50+ will get a fullbody character commission from me, if desired! (See here for an idea of art style.) It will be done traditionally and then scanned to you-- if you want a digital commission, then that will have to wait until my tablet is fixed. I wish I could offer more, but there really isn't much else I could do. At this point, even spreading the word (or just wishing me luck) would mean so much to me. Like, seriously!

I feel I should clarify a few points for consideration!

-- Some people may feel upset that I am asking for this while I am 'not sick'. First of all, I am sick. Frankly, I am dealing with a fair bit, which makes my already tight pocket tighter. I simply did not talk about them as this gofundme was posted in the 'travel' section, not the 'medical' section. What I am suffering with is irrelevant to this case-- aside from the fact that my 'spare money' is being shoved toward helping this in the first place-- and I don't exactly feel comfortable prattling on about them all, anyway. 

-- Some people may feel upset that I am not just 'getting a job'. This is exactly what I am trying to do, and have been trying to do, since February. However, with the aforementioned illnesses, and the fact I only live where I live during the summer for a maximum of four months, it makes my slim job pool selection quite a bit slimmer, as a lot of the 'entry level positions' are things I simply cannot do. But I am working on it. I think working is a lovely experience and I only wish that I could experience it normally. 

-- Some people may feel upset that I am not just going on this trip later on, when I have enough money to simply toss about. However, the only reason this trip is feasible in the first place is because of the amount of people who planned and put this together, who will be there the whole way. This chance may never come by me again, and as such, with the costs as reduced as they are due to travelling in a large group, I figured I might as well try. (That, and I am offering art for 50$+ donations. Which, as a practioner of art in the profesional field, is indeed "working for it".)

-- Some people may feel upset that I am not 'being an adult' and calling it off from the get go. Well, There is a reason why there is a deadline. I can try to see what I can do until then. If it isn't feasible by that point, you bet I will call it off, and try to organise it again sometime in the future. But why shoot myself in the foot before I know anything for sure?

-- Some people may feel upset by the fact I am begging. Well really, this is in the travel section on a donation site for a reason... people who want to travel places but cannot for whatever reason post here. There is no rule as to eligibility. It is not as if I wish to beg. I find it awfully humiliating. I just figured some people would feel that they could give give up their morning coffee for a day to pitch in four dollars, so to speak. To me, dreams-- no matter what kind-- are worth that coffee. But I don't suppose all people really understand that. (Granted, I don't suppose I really understand either since I have never been able to afford morning coffee in my whole life, but that was the best analogy of which I could think.
