Disabled by MS waiting on SSDI

Hi.  My name is Debbi Przyblo.  I am married, a mom of two bright and loving daughters, ages 14 and 12.  In 2006 I was diagnosed with MS.  Multiple Sclerosis is a disease which eats away at the protective covering of nerves.  I have fought to try and keep a 'normal' life and was working up until May 1, 2014.  At this time I was laid off.  My disease has progressed to the point that finding a new job is impossible.  One of the common things many MS patients deal with is chronic fatigue.  Complete lack of energy.  Taking a shower is exhausting, and has also become something I frequently need help with.  The damage to nerves gives me weakness, numbness, and muscle spasms in my legs, hips and back.  My right arm and hand are numb and weak to the point of visible muscle loss.  The amount of walking involved in going to the grocery store will cause so much pain in my hips and lower back that I am done for the day.  I think you get the picture.
I am not one to complain about things and I am not one to ask people for help.  However, after 13 months without working, my 401k and our savings are gone.  My husband, John, lost his business in 2009 when the economy went bad.  It has been a struggle financially to come back from the time he was out of work, and ended up taking a job with a significant reduction in income.  I am waiting on disability.  I was denied in February from my initial application, which they tell me is common, and we are currently waiting on results from the appeal.  If they would just approve my disability, everything would be fine.  Not great, but we could pay our bills.  Right now, even with John's income, we are about $1,000 short a month.  Starting in August, I am not sure how we will pay rent, much less buy the girls much needed clothes and school supplies.  Both of them need new glasses.  There just simply isn't any money to spend on anything that doesn’t feed us or pay utilities.  Both girls have had to go without birthday celebrations this year.  It absolutely breaks my heart.  This is the only reason why I ask for help, my girls.  If something doesn’t let up, I am afraid we are going to end up homeless in a few months.
Someone suggested to me that I try the GoFundMe site, so here I am.  A last ditch effort.  Why $6000?  I have no clue how long this process will take.  This will cover 6 months give or take.  If my disability is approved before then, it can help cover the nearly $3000 in medical bills which are now going unpaid.  If you can help at all, we would be extremely grateful.  If you cannot afford anything, please pray for us.  Pray for some relief for me with my physical symptoms, and for my family as we deal with this crisis.

Thank you to my friends from Florida Christian College and at Grace Community Church for all the prayers which have already been lifted up.  I thank God for His grace and presence in my life every day.

and John, Katherine and Rebecca, too.

Updated: My second submission was denied in July.  I am now at the hearing stage.  The office that handles my claim has a back log of cases and it will be 17-19 months before I get a hearing.  I am depressed beyond belief.  I just cannot imagine how we will get through this.  I have increased the amount from $6,000 to $10,000.  Because of the donations we have received thus far, our bills should be covered through December.  Right now we are just taking it one month at a time.

Thank you everyone who has donated, shared this campaing through facebook and most of all those who have prayed.
